11. June 2025.

In April 2025, the Center for Green Politics launched their first edition of the School for Green Politics, a two-semester educational program that brings together 35 participants from informal initiatives, civil society organizations, academia, journalism, and politics.

So far, there have been five lectures, and the participants had the opportunity to engage in discussions with the lecturers on various aspects of green politics. In the introductory lecture, we reflected on the history of the green idea and the context in which green politics emerged. We discussed the limits of capitalism and the (im)possibility of infinite profit growth, as well as socio-economic rights, with a special focus on housing. The last two lectures were dedicated to the state of labor rights and the right to health, and how to improve their protection in Serbia.

The upcoming lectures will continue with further discussions and the chances for knowledge exchange about green politics and the ays of creating a society based on ecological and social justice.

The School of Green Politics is organized with the support of the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
