    Five Measures to Improve the Legal Framework for Animal Protection in the Republic of Serbia

    A turning point in the field of protecting non-human animals in Serbia was the adoption of the Animal Welfare Act in 2009. Within this law, Serbia introduced a number of measures that had already demonstrated success in other European countries. This research examines five measures whose implementation could improve the state of animal welfare in Serbia and beyond. Some of the proposed measures are put forward precisely because they could enhance the implementation of existing provisions, which are already included in the upgraded legal framework.

It outlines the mechanisms the EU uses to access these resources under the most favorable conditions for itself, often at the expense of the countries from which the resources originate. In addition, the publication provides an overview of the necessary changes that would make the negotiations and agreements the EU enters into with resource-rich countries fairer and more beneficial for the countries whose resources are being exploited.
