The Center for Green Politics is inviting all interested individuals to apply for the School of Green Politics, an intensive educational program that explores and reflects on the ecological, social, democratic, and economic dimensions of green politics. The Center for Green Politics is a civil society organization dedicated to education, information, development, and the promotion of green policies and the green idea. The School of Green Politics is organized with the support of the Heinrich Böll Foundation.

🔎 What is Green Politics?

Green politics utilizes a political and social approach that connects ecological wisdom, social justice, and democracy. Its foundations are laid in sustainability, the protection of natural resources, the fight against climate change, economic justice, nonviolence, anti-imperialism, gender equality, and citizen participation in decision-making. Green politics recognizes that the ecological crisis is not separate from economic and social inequalities, but rather that they are part of the same system that needs to be changed.

✅ Debates and practical sessions for developing your political and activist skills
✅ Networking with experts, activists, and politicians

Throughout the program, we will cover topics such as the history and core values of green politics, the limits of capital, socio-economic rights, housing, education, healthcare, labor rights and platform work, the feminization of politics, security and international politics, environmental protection, climate change, energy, mobility, utopian politics, as well as green realpolitik. There will also be open sessions for peer exchange among participants.

🎯 Who is this program for?

For everyone who wants to gain knowledge and skills in the fields of political ecology, social justice, and democracy, and green politics in general, whether they come from activist movements, civil society organizations, academia, or simply wish to engage in the fight for a sustainable and just future.

The program will take place in person in Belgrade, from mid-April to the end of June and from early September to the end of November. Lectures and workshops will be held every two weeks, lasting 2–3 hours.
